Anek trailer: film on the otherisation of the North East

The caravan of Ayushmann Khurrana’s Anek is out and the actor’s character raises a valid question What’s demanded to make an Indian sense like an Indian? The film revolves around the violence and the injustice that the people of North East India have to suffer, which has long entered a step-maternal treatment from their fellow countrymen.

The description of the caravan read “ An innumerous story of an undercover bobby set against the geopolitical background of North East India. An action- suspenser about a rebellion, an insurrection. An Indian, who wants nothing further than peace for the nation.”
The more-than-three- nanosecond-long caravan opens to a suited Ayushmann introducing himself as the bone who works for India’s security in the North East region. As he goes on a charge to help two contrary sides in the region to agree to a peaceful concession, he comes face to face some stark realities. The actor is seen as a dogface for the first time in the film.
The caravan also has a side story about how an aspiring prizefighter ( played by Deeplina Deka) wants to play for India but has to deal with some unanticipated challenges. Danny Danzongpa and Manoj Pahwa are also seen in vital places in the caravan. It ends with Ayushmann’s Joshua asking a question, “ Does anybody want peace at all? Else, why would no bone break such a small issue in so numerous times.”

Talking about Anek, Ayushmann said, “ Anek celebrates the spirit of truly being an Indian. Anubhav sir is pushing the envelope and setting a standard with his passionate liar with this film. My character Joshua impelled me to do effects I had noway done ahead, both physically and mentally. With the right guidance and training, I gave this part my stylish shot to bring life to everything Anubhav envisaged for the film.”

Anubhav Sinha said, “ Anek has been my most grueling film so far. It’s grounded on a content that’s presumably been less spoken of in the county. Itre-emphasises the fact that inspite of being different in our societies, traditions, languages, India can rise over and win as a country. Despite all the challenges that came our way, whether it was shooting in delicate terrain or filming during the epidemic, we powered through. I feel a great sense of pride and triumph that we ’ve fulfilled everything we set out to with this film.”
